CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Repot from Eldey: Today we started with a cool breeze from the South and a little drizzle that quickly disappeared as we headed further out. First we tried our luck at Hvalfjordur, and on the way we saw harbor porpoises twice and then for a third time when we reached the fjord! In total we saw 10 individuals. We spent a while searching high and low, but decided to try our luck out in the bay. After exiting the fjord we were alerted that there was a Humpback whale in the area and we spotted a blow ahead! This humpback was doing short surface dives, and then treated us to a deeper diver showing off its fluke! And with that, we sailed back to Reykjavik!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: The grey clouds rolled over the bay as we set off into a very overcast Faxaflói. We searched for some sign of life for about 40 minutes when we spotted a blow up ahead! We made our way there and found a lone humpback whale! Once we got closer, the whale lifted its pectoral fin high up in the air as if saying hello! We stayed with this individual for some time and tracked it as it maneuvered effortlessly through the waves, likely feeding just below the surface. After a while, we decided to say goodbye to this whale and headed back to harbour where the sun had even started peaking through the clouds! We enjoyed some hot chocolate and music on the way back after a very successful day!
