  • CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00, 13:00
  • PREMIUM WHALE TOUR | 10:00, 14:00

All whale watching tours are on schedule today from Reykjavík! Remember to dress according to weather and feel free to borrow our thermal overalls if needed!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Eldey: This morning we headed out and had a bit or drizzle, but shortly after we found sunny skies! The sea conditions were calm which was excellent because we went searching far out into the bay today. Suddenly we were met with a huge blow of a humpback whale! This whale was sleepy which allowed us to have a great extended viewing of the beautiful pectoral fins! After multiple views of our sleepy friend we slowly made the long journey back to Reykjavík. With sunny skies and a sleepy friend it was a wonderful tour!

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00

Report from Eldey: The seas were calm with a slight southwesterly breeze blowing towards us. After some searching around we found 2 humpback whales  only a few hundred meters away from eachother! We followed the first individual around for a bit while it was feeding, diving often and short. Eventually we gave this one his well deserved rest and moved onwards to the second humpback. And what a treat that one was! it stayed right under the water surface for the longest time so we could follow it by it´s large pectoral fins shining through the surface as it swam right past us. To top it all off, it even did a peduncle throw, what a splash that was! After having an incredible time with this whale, it started to pick up it´s pace and so it was time for us to conclude our amazing afternoon at sea.+
