CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00
Report from Eldey: Today was a beautiful day with mostly clear skies and sun! We headed out in the direction of Akranes and along the way met with three elusive white-beaked dolphins! Further into the bay we ran into another pod of six white-beaked dolphins! Our last pod was plenty playful and gave us a great show! While we were heading back to Reykjavik, we got the call that there was a Humpback Whale! so we turned around and headed back out for a quick peak of the whale. When we arrived we were greeted with some surfacing and then a beautiful display of the fluke! What a great end of the tour!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00
Report from Eldey: on our second tour of the day, we went to the same area we saw the whale in the morning, just to try our luck there, spotting about 5 harbour porpoises on the way. We've got to the spot and this whale has moved a bit but not too far! We spotted the blow of this humpback whale that was going for deep dives and coming back a minute later, very impressively. Out of the blue (like, literally), the whale breached! A full breach showing off its body and making a huge splash. We stayed with this one a bit more until we saw that the amount of boats around was increasing, so we decided to go somewhere else. We went into the direction of Keilir, the volcano, and we spotted another blow! We came closer and it was another humpback!! The sea was so calm and flat that every time the whale would come up, we could track it by the long and white pectoral fin that was easily seen through the surface. So beautiful! We then started to head back to Reykjavík, amazed with the lovely sightings.
