CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Eldey: The day started with clear skies and a warm sunny weather. Perfect day for sail around the bay! We started our journey going further out looking for whales and dolphins. After about 45 minutes we had our first sighting of the day- a minke whale! It seemed to be very calm and relaxed as we followed it for a while and got to see it pretty well. We decided to carry on with our journey but just a few minutes after we spotter 3 harbour porpoises! Unfortunately they disappeared rapidly so we continued sailing further out! Then we started seeing some dorsal fins in the horizon! A pod of white-beaked dolphins!! There was 3 individuals rushing thru the waves that came to say hello! Eventually we needed to start heading back but not without another amazing sighting of a minke whale feeding! What an amazing day!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR I 13:00

Report from Eldey: We set sail out from the harbour in the beautifully sunny and warm weather. After a while we entered a calm Hvalfjord. A humpback whale appeared in the middle of the fjord. It was logging at first, then alternating between a few shallow and long dives. We had some beautiful fluke dives in the flat sea with amazing backdrop of the mountains. At the same time as the humpback whale, we had a pod of 2 harbour porpoises traveling. After staying with the humpback for a while, getting a good glimpse, we headed out of the fjord. We were accompanied by another pod of 2 harbour porpoises. After an amazing tour we headed back to the harbour.
