CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00
Report from Eldey: This morning we sailed out onto gorgeous calm seas. There was little wind and a weak rain in the beginning, though the clouds on top of the mountains made an amazing view to start the day. We found a humpback whale which seemed very happy to be with us. We spent some time with it and even rolled and showed us its beautiful pectoral fins. After waving her good bye, we continued sailing onto the ocean. On our way, we saw skuas chasing artic terns and some little groups of puffins.

CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 13:00
Report from Eldey: This afternoon we went out in a gray and moody bay, that became sunny halfway through. After a rather long sail we encountered a minke whale that appeared out of nowhere in the midst of a flock of birds. We did not spot it again and decided to carry on our journey to hopefully see something else. A while later we saw some blows from a humpback whale. We spent quite some time with it, especially since it only dove for around three minutes each time. It came fairly close to the boat and did many beautiful fluke dives. After the passengers had a good look at the whale, we slowly started to head back to the harbour. Yet again a beautiful day out at sea!
