Say hello to MÁNI and BOBBY!
This March, we had the incredible luck of encountering orcas not once, but twice on our whale watching tours from Reykjavík! Thanks to photo-ID, these individuals were matched to a pod previously recorded in Snæfellsnes – and our naturalists, Maria and Rob, had the honour of naming them!
We’re thrilled to support the important work of Orca Guardians Iceland and to contribute to a better understanding of these incredible animals! If you have taken photos of orcas in Iceland or elsewhere in the North Atlantic, we encourage you to share them with info@orcaguardians.org so that more matches can be made to make new discoveris and further unravel the social structure and movements of these magnificent species.
