Report from Eldey: We sailed out for our northern lights excursion on a very chilly but pleasant evening. Clouds covered the sky but from time to time, they opened and stars shone through. With the hight activity forecasted 5/9 we were very optimistic. At times we thought we could see a faint glow of the aurora borealis but with our trusty camera to double check what we were seeing, unfortunately it was just clouds, proven by the camera not showing any green. We enjoyed hot chocolate and waffles and hoped for the best but unfortunately no green lights appeared in the sky that was getting more and more covered in clouds. We headed back to the harbour and gave complimentary tickets to our passengers.
