Guðbjörg Lilja is a third generation member of the Elding family. From a young age, she frequently visited the harbour and spent time around the family business, often joining her aunt, uncle, grandfather, and cousins at work. These early experiences gave her a natural familiarity with Elding and its values.
She began her journey with the company in the souvenir shop before transitioning to the ticket office, where she worked while earning dual degrees: a BSc in Business Administration and a BSc in Computer Science. With her growing expertise, she moved into the accounting department, where she built a solid foundation in financial management. Today, she leads Elding’s financial team as the company’s Financial Manager, overseeing all aspects of financial operations.
Guðbjörg is Icelandic and speaks fluent Icelandic and English.
